Impakanizi is a Rwandan artist, dancer, musician, singer, writer and actor based in Kigali.

Rooted in traditional Rwandan dance, he was part of the Rwandan National Ballet Urukerereza in 2008 and performed internationally with this company. He also participated in several major artistic projects in Rwanda, including the Hamwe festival, the Kigali Jazz Junction, the Iwacu Music festival and Kigali Up festival, as well as throughout the continent, including the 2019 Calabar festival in Nigeria. He regularly collaborates with Rwandan artists such as Injonge Karangwa, Man Martin, Assumpta Mugiraneza or Michael Makembe.

Impakanizi was part of the Chaillot Colo in 2023. umuko marks his second collaboration with Dorothée Munyaneza.
